Student Sparks

Time and time again as educators and parents we have seen that one moment of transformation in a student where they feel inspired by a person they met or a new topic they were introduced to. During Cresconova Global's Student Sparks, our goal is to ignite inspiration, to delve into novel topics, and to activate the curiosity to learn more.

Pharaohs, Pyramids, & People: A Journey through Ancient Egypt

Our January Student Sparks will be led by Nancy Abdelaziz who serves as an Archives Specialist at the American Research Center in Egypt working with valuable historical records and cultural heritage materials.

In this interactive one-hour adventure, Nancy will lead us back in time, over five thousand years, to the land of the Nile. We’ll meet mighty pharaohs, explore the magical world of ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses, discover how these ancient people lived, and even peek inside incredible monuments like pyramids and temples. Along the way, we’ll use clues from writing, art and architecture to unlock the secrets of this amazing civilization.

By the end of this journey, students will understand how ancient Egyptians ruled, worked, played, and left behind wonders that still amaze us today.
